Milner Gardens & Woodland
Vancouver Island University’s Milner Gardens & Woodland is a 70-acre botanical oasis. Nestled between forest and sea, it leaves you with a sense of calmness and appreciation for the majesty of nature along with the artistry of horticultural vision. This picturesque woodland garden not only rejuvenates the soul, but teaches and inspires care for the natural world through community events, tourism, and impactful children’s education and volunteer programming. This historic estate features a wild English-style garden, buffered from the rest of the world by one of the last remaining stands of old-growth Coastal Douglas fir. Wander the winding woodland paths through towering Douglas firs, gently guiding you to an enchanting garden laden with rare species of Rhododendrons.
